The Hour

When God formed man out of the dust, in the Garden of Eden; it was not until he breathed the breath of life into him before he became a living soul. He became flesh, soul and spirit. Genesis 2:7-9, Genesis 2:21-25, Genesis 3:14-21.  These are gifts from the maker unto us for an appointed time (time we have to live on earth), till he calls us.

Then our soul and spirit is separated from the flesh and the dust that was taken to form man which is the flesh returns unto the ground where it was taken from. Ecclesiastes 12:7. There are people whom God qualified not to taste death in their journey here. He holds the license to qualify the unqualified. Prophet Elijah and Enoch never had to face death by special favour bestowed upon them by God.

In soul and spirit we have resemblance with God our creator. When flesh is stripped off from our makeup, as it happens when we die, all that is left to journey to heaven where judgement takes place is the spirit and soul. In this journey, there is automatic guidance unlike the physical journey we undertake in the passing world where we usually ask for directions. 

The evidence can be seen in the New Testament, when Jesus raised Lazarus from the death in Luke 11:25-26, 39, 42-44.
Here, even though, Jesus was told since the time Lazarus was sick before his death, he was not in a hurry to get there, because there is no case that is beyond. Hence his response, "...this sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the son of God might be glorified thereby". And many other cases where by the spirit he calls unto the soul to return to the body of the death, and life return.

The soul and spirit, depending on the life led on earth, shall return to its maker, God, for eternity, or go the other way which is eternal damnation and everlasting suffering due to choices made while spending the appointed time on earth. Luke 14:1-7, Ecclesiastes 12:13-14. This is why the greatest enemy of God's creation struggles by all means necessary or unnecessary since he was cast away from heavenly glory, to see that many fall with him that they may unite at the end in eternal suffering and damnation. Luke 14:30.

The Devil knows quite well that time is against him, because THE ANCIENT OF DAYS WILL (definite) return in glory to judge the living and the death, and his kingdom will have no end. There shall be separation and distinction of that which is his (God), and that which did not listen and obey the words of eternal life through CHRIST JESUS.
Therefore " fear not them which kill the body but are not able to kill the soul: but rather, fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell"
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Mathew 24: 35

There are scientific theories on the near death experience and the likes and some notions of how eternity will be spent or its complete denial. But the word of truth is available for those who really want to know. It is a choice available now, when CHRIST comes, it will not be available anymore. Jesus waits upon you always with outstretched arms to welcome you when you accept HIM and find the path of righteousness. Ephesians 6:11-16, Hebrews 2:14,Revelations 12:3,9-12.
