The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja has expressed his confidence in the commitment and capability of the personnel of the Nigerian Army (NA) in ensuring safe and secure environment.
This he said is attainable through close collaborations with sister services and other security agencies.
The COAS stated this on Thursday 14 September 2023, at the closing ceremony of the Chief of Army Staff Combined Second and Third Quarters Conference 2023, at the Army Headquarters Command Officers’ Mess 1, Abuja, Nigeria's Capital.
While adressing the conference, the Army Chief said the briefs given by the Senior officers as well as the presentations made, reinforced the tasks and highlighted the challenges ahead of the Nigerian Army.
He therefore charged all formation commanders to calibrate their strength to deal decisive blow on the nation's adversaries while pointing out that the far reaching decisions made during the conference will propel the Army to redefine its training and operational activities to attain desirable outcomes.
According to General Lagbaja, the conference provided a platform for the Senior Officers to review Nigerian Army (NA) training, operational and administrative activities that directly Impacts national security.
