The Army Headquarters Garrison has announced to the public that it will be conducting a battle simulation exercise at 7 Guards Battalion Obstacle Course, Lungi Barracks, Maitama, Abuja.
The exercise according to the Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations, Lieutenant Njideka Agwu is Part of activities scheduled for the Inter Formation Combat Platoon Obstacle Crossing Competition 2023 which starts from Tuesday 24 October to Wednesday 25 October 2023.
The Exercise according to the statement will involve real time battle field simulations and activities which would herald large battle sounds that would be heard during the exercise as is the characteristics of training exercises.
Consequently, members of the general Public who reside around Maitama, Asokoro, AYA and the environs are notified not to panic but go about their normal activities as the battle sounds would not raise any security concern. The Army Headquarters Garrison assured the public that it has put all necessary safety measures in place ahead of the Excercise.
