General Christopher Musa On Operational Tour Of Operation SAFE HAVEN, Motivates Troops At Frontlines

The Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa has charged troops of the newly established 2 National Mission Brigade in Samaru Kataf, Kaduna state and troops of Sector 8 Mangu, Plateau state, to respect and protect citizens human rights in the course of conducting operations. 

He was speaking in continuation of his operational visits to front line units under OPERATION SAFE HAVEN in Kaduna and Plateau states respectively.  
In a statement by the Director Defence Information, Brigadier General Tukur Gusau, General Christopher Musa said members of the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) are trained to protect lives and properties as well as to respect the citizens' human rights. 

He further called on troops to take the fight to the criminal hide outs and flush them out completely, stating that he wants to see a renewed and greater vigor in the fight against Insurgency in the year 2025. 
The CDS warned troops to desist from any illegal practices that would bring the name of the AFN to disrepute while calling on troops to work as a team in order to achieve more operational successes.

Earlier during the visit, the General officer Commanding 3 Division and Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar brifed the CDS on the general security situation under OPERATION SAFE HAVE.
While in Southern Kaduna, the CDS also paid a homage to the Chief of Kagoro, His Royal Highness, Agwam Ufuwai Bonet and appreciated the Royal father for his support to troops operating in Southern Kaduna. 

The CDS was accompanied to the 2 National Mission Brigade by the Senator representing Kaduna South senatorial district, Senator Sunday Marshall Katung who expressed appreciation to the the general for bringing solutions that will address insecurity in the area.
