Strenghtening Defence Capabilities: Matawalle Recieves Delegation From Homeleand Protectors And Supplies Seeking Collaboration With DICON

As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s defence capability through private sector collaboration, the Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Muhammad Matawalle, received the leadership of Homeleand Protectors and Supplies Ltd, led by its Chairman, Mr. Muhammad Ali bin Aadi, at the Ministry of Defence, Ship House, Abuja.


A statement by the Personal Assistant to the Minister on Media, Ahmad Dan-Wudil said the meeting aimed to establish a long-term joint venture between Homeland Protectors and Supplies Ltd and the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON). 

The discussions focused on strategies to facilitate capacity-building training and the deployment of advanced technological solutions to support Nigeria’s defence and security objectives.


Dr. Matawalle emphasized the Federal Government’s commitment to enhancing indigenous capabilities in defence production and military innovation. 

He noted that private sector partnerships are in alignment with the provisions of the recently enacted DICON Act, which was signed into law by President Bola Tinubu. 


The DICON Act mandates that all military procurement shall henceforth be channeled through DICON, reinforcing its central role in Nigeria’s defence industrial ecosystem.
