The Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja has appreciated all the personnel of the Nigerian Army especially those in leadership position for holding forth the command in highly challenging period of the country’s history.
He gave the commendation while delivering his closing remarks at the First Quarter Chief of Army Conference 2024 at the Army Headquarters Command Officers Mess, Abuja Nigeria.
He reminded the personnel of the need to always be ingenious and courageous as the adversaries being fought are emboldened by weakness that they cannot afford to show.
"To the Conference participants, I suppose this gathering has again awakened us to the reality that it is not yet time to celebrate total victory. I am not in doubt that the Nigerian Army is blessed with competent and committed personnel at all levels to ensure a substantial level of success that can help create the enabling environment necessary for good governance and economic prosperity"
He appreciated the participants for their patience, sincerity, and dedication throughout the deliberations while commending members of the press, for their invaluable role as critical partner in its operational activities.
He used the medium to assure Nigerians of the unflinching loyalty and commitment of the Service to the Country’s Constitution and the resolve of the Army in conjunction with sister services, other security agencies, to ensure the security of lives and properties across the country.
