The Nigerian Army (NA) is set to review its operational activities at the combined Chief of Army Staff Second and Third Quarters Conference 2024.
The conference gives an opportunity for Principal Staff Officers, Field Commanders and other Senior officers to comprehensively review the counter-insurgency operations, anti-banditry efforts, and other critical operations across the country ahead of the fourth quarter.
According to a statement by the Director Army Public Relations, Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, the Nigerian Army will be converging in Akwa Ibom State from Monday 26 August to Friday 30 August 2024, to appraise the conduct of its ongoing operations, training, and other activities.
This is in keeping with the evaluation of the execution of its constitutional mandate and to make strategic projections for the rest of the year.
The participants will gain also gain valuable insights into the Chief of Army Staff’s next agenda for the NA. The conference will also feature presentations on operations, administration, logistics, and other key events as outlined in the Nigerian Army Forecast of Events 2024.
During the proceedings, essential decisions aimed at enhancing the functionality and effectiveness of the Service would be considered.
The Conference will draw participation from Principal Staff Officers of the Army Headquarters, Corps, Formation and Operations Commanders, Commandants of NA Schools and Tri-service Institutions, as well as selected NA officers serving in key appointments and tri-service establishments.
