Time: 19:55 WAT

Location: Abuja, Nigeria

The offensive operation took place on 14 June 2026 around the Dogon Daji general area in Dandi Local Government Area of the state, as part of sustained efforts to rid the North-West region of terrorist and criminal networks.

During the engagement, troops brought superior firepower to bear on the Lakurawa terrorist group, overwhelming their positions and forcing the fighters into withdrawal.

A follow-on aggressive pursuit along the terrorists’ escape routes led to the recovery of a large cache of abandoned arms, explosives, and logistics equipment left behind in their camp.

Items recovered include Rocket-Propelled Grenade (RPG) launch tubes, multiple RPG warheads, several improvised explosive devices (IEDs), two motorcycles used for mobility, battery chargers, and other personal belongings. Troops returned from the operation without casualties.

The Nigerian Army stated that the success reflects the sustained operational pressure under Operation FANSAN YAMMA, aimed at dismantling terrorist and bandit networks, denying them freedom of action, and strengthening security across the North-West.
