"This is what you call soft power, the capacity to bring, and even for them to agree to come to Nigeria. For each of these countries to agree to come and participate and to stay here for two weeks, it means that the strategic leadership of the military, led by General Musa has done a lot of work, a lot of reaching out, encouraging, and also ensuring that people participate whixh is equally very important"

Mallam Ndace said sports is about friendship, cooperation, partnership, building team spirit and giving officers of the various malitaries from Africa an avenue to make friends.

"Some of them who have done courses together, at the strategic, operational, and tactical level, but with the military games, they connect through sports in a more relaxed atmosphere to strengthen friendships"

"Nigeria has always been playing the leadership role in the African continent, this is in continuation of that, I'm sure the Chief of Defence Staff agreed to organise and host the Armed Forces on the continent of Africa in furtherance of this"

"The military, many of them have done exercises together, they have done courses together. either at tactical level, operational level, or at strategic level, served maybe in the same mission as Defence Attaché together, so what this means is that, this event, for instance, Mali is here, but you know that Mali is also one of the countries that is part of Sahel. So, regardless of seeming issues at the political level, you can see that the strategic leaders are working together"
The Director General of Voice of Nigeria recalled how the founding fathers of Nigeria are clear in their value for good neighbourliness not just in the continent, but also in the world.
He emphasized that Nigeria’s foreign policy is built around Africa being the centerpiece and the vision and mission of Voice of Nigeria, is also in that direction and that is to shape positive narrative about Nigeria and Nigerians, Africans and Africa.
