Troops Rescue 50 Kidnapped Victims, Recover 32 Rusted Cows As they Foil Bandits Attack In Katsina

Troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA have rescued 50 kidnapped victims and recovered 32 rustled cows following a foiled bandit attack on Raudama village in Faskari Local Government Area, Katsina State. 

Sources informed Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred on April 27 at about 8:00 p.m. when suspected bandits invaded Raudama village.

In response, the troops comprising of army and police swiftly mobilised joint patrol teams who engaged the bandits in a gun duel, overpowering them and forcing them to flee.

As a result, 50 kidnapped victims were rescued unhurt, while 32 rustled cows were recovered.

However, two persons, identified as Mai’ Unguwa Isah Biredi, 50, and Hassan Na Sakaka, 40, sustained injuries during the operation and were rushed to General Hospital, Funtua, for medical treatment.
