Theatre Commander Operation Hadin Kai Visit Giwa Barracks Following Fire Incident in Armoury Resulting In Explosions

The Theatre Commander Operation Hadin Kai Major General A.E. Abubakar has paid an assessment visit to Giwa Barracks to ascertain the level of destruction caused by yesterday's explosion

The Commander, who was Received and round the affected areas by the Commanding Officer 73 Battalion Lt Col N Dalha and JIC Commander Colonel Ahmad with other top military Officers.

The Theatre Commander appreciated the gallant efforts of the troops and that of Federal and State Fire Fighters in putting down the fire, which resulted in burning down the only Armoury facility in the barrack. 

He called on public not to panic and continue with their normal business as the situation is calm .

General Abubakar Urged public particularly for those living around the Giwa Barracks to desist from picking up any unknown particles as some fragments and unexploded ordinancies spread during the explosions. 

The Theatre Commander called on the public to report any suspicious behaviour, persons, and ordinances to the Command by dialling 09026959597 or any security outfit nearby.
