Nigerian Navy Hands Over 11 Crew members Arrested by PATHFINDER, Destroys Illegal Refining Sites in Ondo, Rivers

The 11 crew members of a boat arrested by the Nigerian Navy Ship PATHFINDER were on Monday 29th January, 2024 handed over to the Civil Defence Corps. 

The Base Operations Officer, Commander SM Kabir perform the handing over on behalf of the Nigerian Navy.

Recall that the Nigerian Navy Ship PATHFINDER intercepted and arrested a boat laden with 10 metal plates, 14 angle iron as well as 20 gas cylinders with 11 crew members on Tuesday 23rd January 2024. 

Also, the Forward Operating Base IGBOKODA has deactivates illegal refining site with a cooking pot of about 33,000ltrs and a storage tank of about 25,000ltrs in Araromi Seaside of Ilaje, Ondo State on Saturday 27 January 2024. 

And in another development, Forward Operating Base BONNY in conjunction with Nigerian Navy Ship PATHFINDER Swamp Buggy Team, under Operation DELTA SANITY destroyed total of 9 constructed cooking pots, 4 storage tanks as well as 3 reservoirs around Birakiri General Area in Okrika, Rivers State.
