In the aftermath of the sad event that occurred recently in Bokkos and Barkin- Ladin Local Government Areas of Plateau State, a Federal Government delegation visited and commiserate with the government and people of Plateau State.
The Honorable Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Muhammed Bello Matawalle MON and Hon. Minister of Humanitarian and Poverty Alleviation Dr. Betty Edu led the delegation that included the Service Chiefs on the visit.
It would be recalled that there was an attack on communities in three Local Government Areas of Plateau state recently where many lives were lost.
The two Ministers with the delegation visited the affected areas of Bokkos and Barkin- Ladin where they held a stakeholders' meeting with the people of the affected communities.
They also paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency, Caleb Mutfwang where they held fruitful discussion on how to stamp out insecurity from the State.
While condoling the people of the affected communities, Dr. Matawalle reassured them of the Federal Government's commitment to fighting all forms of criminalities that have bedeviled our communities and nation in general.
"Mr. President has directed that we visit you people and to reassure you that Military will restore peace in the affected communities and that the perpetrators of this dastardly act will be arrested," he said.
