Force Commander MNJTF Visits Chadian Defence Minister Who Revealed His Efforts At Facilitating Return of Niger To Coalition Forces

The new Chadian Minister of Defence, Mr. Issaka Malloua Djamous has revealed that one of his first actions upon assuming office was to facilitate Niger's return to the coalition of the Multinational Joint Task Force MNJTF, to enable more coordinated and simultaneous operations. 

The Chadian Minister of Defence stated this when General Ali stated this when he recieved the Force Commander MNJTF, Major General Ibrahim Ali at the Ministry of Defence in N'Djamena, Chad to congratulate him on his recent appointment and to express appreciation for the Chadian Government's unwavering support to the MNJTF. 
The Minister assured the Force Commander of his unwavering support, emphasizing that "You can always count on my support." 

The Force Commander Major General Ibrahim Ali highlighted the commendable performance of the Chadian Forces in the recent Operation LAKE SANITY II, describing it as a successful mission that led to the destruction of some Boko Haram strongholds. 
A statement by Chief Military Public Information Officer MNJTF N'Djamena Chad, Lieutenant Colonel Olaniyi Osoba said General Ali stated that Operation LAKE SANITY II has made significant inroads in the Lake Chad Region, weakening the capacity of terrorist groups within the region thereby creating a safer environment for many communities. 

He emphasized the importance of continued and increased support from all Troops Contributing Countries to sustain the momentum in combating insurgent groups when commending the commitment of all Troops Contributing nations, which has significantly enhanced the MNJTF’s effectiveness.
The Force Commander acknowledged the ongoing challenges of MNJTF and affirmed his dedication to ensuring Chad's continued support for the MNJTF. 

The courtesy visit underscores the critical importance of regional cooperation and sustained support in the fight against terrorism in the Lake Chad Basin, highlighting the ongoing efforts and commitments of the MNJTF and its member nations.
