Alumni Association of the National Institute, African School of Governance Holds High-Level Dialogue on Governance Education In Africa


In order to breed a new generation of transformational leaders who are deeply committed to ethical governance and strategic decision-making, the Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI), in collaboration with the African School of Governance (ASG), Kigali, Rwanda, hold a High-Level Strategic Dialogue on Governance Education in Africa. 


The AANI in Recognizing the important role of qualitative governance education in shaping visionary and ethical leaders bring together key stakeholders from government, the private sector, academia, civil society, and the media for this important dialogue. 

In statement by the National Publicity Secretary, AANI , Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman, the association said "Africa stands at a critical juncture, brimming with potential yet hindered by persistent leadership deficits, weak institutions and ineffective public policies"


It further said, the continent’s aspirations for sustainable development, as outlined in the African Union’s Agenda 2063 and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), demands raising high breed of leaders with depth of taught that birth solutions.

The dialogue with the theme: “Innovative Approaches to Governance Education and Leadership Transformation in Africa,” aims to explore modern strategies for governance education and leadership development, fostering a cadre of leaders equipped to address Africa’s socio-political and economic challenges.
Among leading discusants are Engineer Mohammed Gambo Umar, President, African School of Governance, Kigali, Rwanda, Professor Kingsley Moghalu, amongs many expert.

The dialogue focus on critical areas, such as: Governance and Leadership: The role of governance education in leadership transformation,
Innovative Policy Education: Exploring modern methodologies for governance and public policy training
Transformational Governance: Strategies for implementing governance reforms and strengthening institutions
