Soccer Association says preparations are complete for the National Beach Soccer
League second round, scheduled for August 21–23 in Nnewi.
The Director of Media, Anambra Beach Soccer
Association (ABSA), Okwudili Awam, said in a statement on Monday that the
matches will be staged at the beach soccer stadium within Nnewi High School.
Awam confirmed that eight clubs will compete — Kebbi
Fishers, Ibom, Nmako Patigi, Kada, Kebbi United, Jigawa Golden Stars, Niger,
and hosts Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors.
“We are thrilled to inform lovers of
beach soccer that Anambra will host the second round of the 2025 NBSL
commencing on August 21,” Awam said, noting that “preparation is in top gear
for the smooth hosting” of the event.
He recalled that Anambra successfully
hosted a leg of the league in 2024, promising an even bigger and better outing
this year.
ABSA is also seeking corporate partnerships and has called on sports journalists to ensure full coverage of the tournament.
