The Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru on Tuesday received the newly appointed Chief of Defence Staff and the three Service Chiefs on a maiden courtesy visit to his office at the Ministry of Defence, Ship House, Abuja.

According to a statement signed by the Personal Assistant to the Minister on Media & Publicity, Mati Ali, those in attendance were the Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Olusola Oluyede; Chief of Army Staff, Major General Wushishi Shaibu; Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Ibrahim Abbas; and Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Sunday K. Aneke.
The visit, described as symbolic, reaffirmed the Minister’s commitment to building a cohesive defence leadership anchored on trust, collaboration, and shared purpose. It also signalled the beginning of a renewed drive toward unified strategy and decisive action in protecting Nigeria’s territorial integrity and national interests under the guidance of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
