The newly completed road, which cuts across three local government areas, is designed to significantly improve mobility, open up rural communities and strengthen economic activity across southern and central Kaduna.

According to a statement signed by the Managing Director of Kaduna State Roads Agency, Dr. Abdullahi Baba Ahmad, the project includes a 130 metre bridge across River Kaduna and passes through 76 farming communities, making it one of the most socially impactful road projects in the state.

“This project stands as the longest asphalt road constructed in Kaduna State in the last two decades, and it reflects the administration’s commitment to delivering quality infrastructure that directly improves livelihoods,” the statement noted.

Groundbreaking for the road was performed by the Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, in January last year. Construction was handled by Messrs MotherCat Nigeria Limited under close supervision to ensure compliance with due process and quality standards.

The road is expected to ease the movement of agricultural produce, reduce travel time between communities and enhance access to markets, healthcare and other essential services for residents along the corridor.

The project forms part of the Uba Sani administration’s broader rural transformation agenda aimed at stimulating local economies and extending the presence of government to underserved communities across Kaduna State.

Beyond connectivity, the completion of the road signals a strategic investment in long term development, reinforcing infrastructure as a foundation for security, commerce and social integration in the state.
