Former Chief of Army Staff and former Nigerian Ambassador to the Republic of Benin, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai has congratulated the gallant Nigerian Army pilots, other personnel of the Nigerian Army Aviation Corps who had waited long for a day like the NADCEL grand finale to display the skills that have acquired overtime.
General Buratai who was speaking on the sidelines of the Nigerian Army Day Celebration NADCEL 2024 in Jos, the Plateau State capital, expressed confidence in the Nigerian Army Aviation Corps' potential to change the battle narratives decisively, noting that Nigerian Army has come full circle in defence capabilities.
Burati who spoke with pride in a display of solidarity and admiration for the crop of leadership and the men in the Nigerian Army pointed out that the officers and men of the Nigerian Army Aviation Corps are more than proud professionals.
The General who served as Nigeria's Chief of Army Staff between 16 July 2015 – 28 January 2021 showered praises on the current crop of military leaders, headed by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, for his foresight and leadership capacity in leading the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
The Army Veteran also commended the significant strides made by the Nigerian Army in research, development, and innovations, expressing satisfaction with the dedication of General Lagbaja and his team to maintaining the highest standards of discipline and operational capabilities.
“The Nigerian Army has continued to excel under the leadership of General Lagbaja, and I am impressed by the progress made in modernizing the force, The troops’ sacrifices in defending our great nation are truly appreciated, and I urge them to remain steadfast in their duties.”
General Buratai’s stressed that the Nigerian Army is on the right track, and with the continued support of the government and the people, the military will remain a formidable force in the country’s security architecture.
