mechanisms, conflict resolution strategies, and uphold human rights education among
faith leaders, the National Human Rights Commission in Nigeria has called on
faith leaders to promote tolerance, unity and promote interfaith dialogue within
their communities.

the influential role clergy members play in fostering peaceful coexistence in Nigeria’s
diverse religious landscape which has been weaponized by those who do not mean
well for the country.
Executive Secretary of the NHRC, Dr.
Tony Ojukwu told faith leaders in a meeting that their voices carry immense
weight in their communities, their teachings inspire millions which can be
tools for upholding dignity, compassion, and mutual respect.
