Information obtained from local sources indicates that the dead include a senior ISWAP fighter identified as Munzir Ba Alai, while seven other insurgents reportedly sustained serious gunshot wounds after troops of Operation HADIN KAI repelled the attack with superior firepower.

The reported casualties add to mounting evidence of sustained military pressure on terrorist formations operating across the North-East. Recent operations have increasingly targeted insurgent logistics, mobility and supply chains, resulting in the arrest of suspected logistics facilitators, the recovery of operational materials and the disruption of support networks that sustain terrorist activities.

The latest development also reinforces the growing attrition confronting ISWAP as intensified offensive operations continue to reduce the group's operational freedom. Alongside battlefield losses, continued intelligence-driven operations have contributed to increasing numbers of fighters abandoning terrorist enclaves and surrendering to security forces, while those remaining continue to face sustained military pressure.
