Operation HADIN KAI is widening its campaign beyond battlefield engagements to systematically dismantle the financial, logistical and human support networks that sustain ISWAP across the North-East, signalling an increasingly comprehensive approach to degrading the group's long-term operational capacity.

The latest operational assessment, released by the Acting Military Information Officer, Captain Mohammed Goni, shows troops simultaneously targeting multiple layers of the terrorist ecosystem through intelligence-led arrests, disruption of funding channels, recovery of logistics supplies and the continued surrender of individuals linked to the insurgent organisation.
One of the operations led troops of 5 Brigade to arrest six suspected ISWAP collaborators in Damasak on 27 July. Preliminary investigations indicate the suspects allegedly generated revenue for the terrorist group through cattle procurement and commercial transactions across Gubio, Damasak and Ajuwango markets. Troops recovered a Volkswagen Golf vehicle, four mobile phones, vehicle keys, cow meat and ₦317,950 believed to be connected to the network, while investigations continue.
The pressure on the group's internal structure also produced another symbolic development when the wife and 11-year-old son of a senior ISWAP finance operative surrendered to troops of 3 Battalion through Kusuma Village on 29 July.
Preliminary findings indicate the commander, who reportedly served as ISWAP's Chief Finance Officer in Jubillaram before surrendering days earlier, directed his family to leave the enclave and surrender to troops. Both individuals are undergoing established profiling procedures.
In a separate intelligence-driven clearance operation at Turoh, troops of 145 Battalion forced terrorists to abandon their position before recovering two motorcycles alongside large quantities of illicit hard drugs believed to support insurgent activities, further denying the group valuable logistics resources.
Taken together, the operations illustrate a broader operational shift in which military success is increasingly measured not only by battlefield engagements but by the systematic disruption of terrorist financing, mobility, logistics and organisational resilience. By simultaneously targeting collaborators, supply chains and leadership support structures, Operation HADIN KAI continues to reduce the capacity of ISWAP to regenerate its operational networks across the theatre.
