The Director General Voice of Nigeria Mallam Jibrin Ndace says one of his primary responsibilities as Director General of the organisation is to create synergy, ensure team spirit and togetherness.
This according to the DG is so that the organisation can present a common front, be able to face any challenge as a family in every erea required including sports.
Mallam Ndace stated this when he had a brief and impromptu interaction with members of Voice of Nigeria Lugbe Welfare Association as they marked their end of year activities with sports competition that birthed winners in different categories.
In demonstration of his drive and vision to reposition Voice of Nigeria as well as improve staff Welfare, the Director General was on hand to present medals to the winners at the end of the competition.
Addressing the Staff at the Voice of Nigeria transmitting station in Lugbe located within the nation's capital, Mallam Jibrin Ndace said everything that is needed to reposition VON is already in place while expressing his trust on the capabilities and willingness of the staff to work.
He pleaded with the members of staff of the organisation to cooperate, pray and suport him in his drive to see that Voice of Nigeria regains its place in the map of broadcasting.
On the issue of training, Mallam Ndace expressed displeasure with the gap in training which should enables staff to perform uptimally in discharging their duties. He however promised that the organisation is already driving partnerships with institutions and organisations that would help close the gap.
"Directors, please I want you to look into other games that are global and some of our members here can go and represent us and even represent Nigeria, so that the VON brand can be pushed both regionally and globally"
He appreciated the Welfare Association for their display of unity, team spirit and sportsmanship and promised to give all the required motivation needed by staff to thrive, propel VON to greater heights as well as compete favourably where necessary.
The Chairman of the Von Lugbe Welfare Association, Engineer Abba Gadanya, said the main reason behind the organisation is to keep promoting unity and harmony between members staff. He appreciated the DG and other Directors of the organisation that took time out to come for the evebt which he said was a demonstration of the DG's commitment to the staff wellbeing.
The Director was accompanied by the Director of News, Mr. Austeen Elewodalu. Directors from the Engineering Department of the organisation, Engineer Umar and Engineer Imran.
