The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno has appreciated the Nigerian Army and all security agencies for their continued efforts at ensuring the stability of the country especially in tackling current security challenges accross the current nation and ensuring safety of citizens.
The Governor stated this on, Tuesday 27th August 2024 which declaring Open the combined second and third quarters Chief Of Army Staff conference 2024 holding in Uyo, the stated capital.
The governor who praised the establishment of the Headquarters 2 Brigade, Nigerian Army in the state acknowledged that it has contributed to the peace and stability of the state.
He said the establishment of the brigade has enhanced the relationship between the Nigerian Army and the state government.
He emphasized that security is a key requirement for national development and the Nigerian Army has continue to be a key player in achieving the much needed security in the country.
He expressed pride at the Maiden flight of the Nigerian Army aviation at the Nigerian Army Day celebrations in Jos, applauding the consistent innovation, display of competentence and professionalism of the Nigerian Army under the current leadership.
