Nigeria's President Sent High Powered Delegation To Chadian President Over Loss Of Soldiers

Nigeria's President Bola Tinubu sent a delegation led by the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu to console with the Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Déby, expressing unwavering support in the wake of the recent terrorist attack on Barkaram Island, which claimed the lives of several Chadian soldiers.

The high-level Nigerian delegation which included Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, Major General Emmanuel Undiandeye, Chief of Defence Intelligence, Force Commander Multinational Joint Task Force MNJTF and other senior security officials was recieved by the President of Chad, Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, on Sunday 17th November. 
The delegation delivered a written message from Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to President Déby expressing his heartfelt condolences. 

This meeting underscores the strong ties between Chad and Nigeria, especially in addressing regional security challenges and combating terrorism. 
Both nations remain committed to strengthening collaboration to promote peace and stability in the Lake Chad Basin region.
