The Nigerian women's team kicked off their campaign at the 2025 ITTF Africa West Regional tournament in style, securing a dominant 3-0 win over the Benin Republic in the finals of the women’s team event,

Nigeria claimed the top spot on the opening day of the tournament, which is taking place at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos. This marks the first of five elite table tennis events to be hosted at the avenue.
