President Tinubu offers prayers and solidarity following
deaths of top Ghanaian officials in aviation tragedy

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended heartfelt condolences to President John Mahama and the people of Ghana following the devastating helicopter crash that claimed the lives of key government officials and security personnel.
In a
solemn message conveyed by Presidential Spokesperson, Mr Bayo Onanuga,
President Tinubu expressed his profound sorrow over the incident, which claimed
the lives of Ghana’s Defence Minister, Dr
Edward Omane Boamah, Environment
Minister, Alhaji Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, and six others.
The
Nigerian leader extended his sympathy to President Mahama, the Government of
Ghana, and all bereaved families, assuring them that the thoughts and prayers of the Nigerian people are with them
during this period of profound national grief.
“President
Tinubu urges the Ghanaian nation and grieving relatives to take solace in the
fact that their loved ones died while rendering patriotic service to their
country,” Onanuga said.
He
also prayed for the peaceful repose of the souls of the departed and for
strength and healing for those left behind.
