Theatre Commander, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, has charged frontline troops of 29 Task Force Brigade to sustain vigilance and crush terrorists under Operation HADIN KAI.

The charge came during his two-day
operational assessment of units across Borno State between 26 and 27 August
2025.
According to a statement by the Media Information Officer, Joint Task For ce Operation Hadin Kai, Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, the visit covered 154 Task Force Battalion at Ngamdu, 156 at Mainok, 273 at Jakana, and the 29 Brigade headquarters at Benisheikh.
Maj Gen Abubakar commended troops’
gallantry and urged resilience against terrorist threats. He emphasised close
supervision, effective coordination, and prioritisation of troop welfare,
especially feeding standards.
He held direct interactions with soldiers, addressing administrative challenges on the spot while pledging to escalate others to higher command.
Brigadier General Oseni Braimah,
Commander 29 Brigade, alongside unit Commanding Officers, briefed the Theatre
Commander on measures to dominate the area and deny terrorists freedom of
action.
They assured him of their resolve to
sustain the operational tempo and protect lives and property.
Senior staff officers, formation commanders, and the Commander Sector 2, Brigadier General Beyidi Martins, were also in attendance.
