Authentic information is released strictly through its verified official platforms.

The Directorate of Recruitment says it maintains a transparent procedure for announcing all recruitment exercises. Authentic information is released strictly through its verified official platforms.

“The publication is false, misleading and should be disregarded in its entirety. Authentic information regarding recruitment will only be published through the Nigerian Army’s verified official platforms,” the statement read.

The Army further assured the public that once the portal for the 90 Regular Recruitment Intake is formally opened, due notification will be provided through official channels.

The statement added that the Army remains committed to transparency and professionalism in its recruitment process, cautioning Nigerians against falling prey to fraudulent schemes.

Fact-Check and Background Context

The Nigerian Army has repeatedly warned against fake recruitment adverts in the past. Fraudsters often exploit digital platforms and social media to lure unsuspecting applicants with false claims of employment.

Recruitment into the Army follows a standardised process. Announcements are made through official Army websites, verified social media accounts, and traditional media outlets. Applicants are not required to pay fees to secure recruitment, and any demand for payment is a red flag.

The Army has urged Nigerians to rely only on official channels to avoid becoming victims of recruitment scams.
