Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, has formally declared Exercise Haske Biyu 2025 closed, charging participants to carry forward lessons on unity, family values, and inter-agency collaboration as the foundation of national security.

Speaking at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), Jaji, General Musa praised the professionalism and resilience displayed throughout the three-week training exercise, describing it as “a clear demonstration of Nigeria’s capacity to confront complex security challenges with a whole-of-society approach.”
The CDS highlighted the theme “Family and National Security” as both timely and strategic, noting that strong families and cohesive communities remain the first line of defence against instability. He commended the inclusion of civic responsibility and moral resilience in the exercise, saying it deepened the nation’s collective understanding of security beyond the battlefield.
Musa also lauded the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for gracing the opening ceremony and delivering a keynote address that underscored the national importance of the exercise. “Her presence elevated this exercise and reaffirmed the centrality of family values to Nigeria’s stability,” he noted.
To the student officers and multi-agency participants, Musa delivered a challenge: turn the lessons of Haske Biyu into “solution-driven action for peace and stability across Nigeria and beyond.” He assured that AFCSC remains at the heart of preparing world-class officers, strategic partners, and leaders ready for mission-critical roles in the Armed Forces of Nigeria and allied nations.
“Everything that has a beginning must have an end,” General Musa declared, before formally closing the exercise with military tradition and applause.
