Members of the Senior Executive Course (SEC) 40, 2018 of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Plateau State, gathered in Abuja for their second reunion, rekindling old bonds and reaffirming their shared commitment to national development.

The event, held at Citypot, drew participants from across Nigeria and abroad, providing a space for reflection, networking, and collective reaffirmation of the ideals of NIPSS and the Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI).
According to the Chairman of the Reunion Planning Committee, Alhaji Kabiru Sani, a retired Deputy Director General of the State Security Service, the strong camaraderie and unity among SEC 40 members have remained steadfast since their days in Kuru. He thanked members for maintaining active participation in class affairs and for embodying the spirit of the National Institute.
In her remarks, the Deputy Monitor General, Barrister (Mrs) Kemi O. Sijuade, mni, commended the organizing committee and urged members to sustain the class’s spirit of patriotism and teamwork. She encouraged them to continue contributing to AANI’s mission of advancing national policy formulation and implementation.
Delivering his goodwill message, the National President of AANI, Ambassador Emmanuel Obi Okafor, mni, who served as the Special Guest of Honour, applauded SEC 40 for their unwavering dedication to national service. He urged them to deepen their fellowship, support one another, and extend that bond to their families.
The reunion also featured the presentation of special souvenirs, a birthday celebration for Mr. Isaac Ehiozuwa, mni, former Edo State Head of Service, and a solemn moment of remembrance for departed colleagues - Brigadier General OA James, Assistant Inspector General of Police Yunana Babas, and Deputy Inspector General of Police Moses Jituboh - whose service and friendship were fondly recalled.
The SEC 40, 2018 class includes several distinguished Nigerians across public and private sectors, such as the President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), the President of the Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP), and the Solicitor-General of the Federation.
Discussions at the reunion centered on strengthening class cohesion, supporting AANI initiatives, and exploring new avenues to make lasting national impact. The event concluded with group photographs, lunch, and closing prayers.
