The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced a comprehensive redeployment of senior officers as part of a strategic reorganisation aimed at boosting operational efficiency, synergy, and alignment with the command philosophy of the new Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke.

According to a statement by the Director of Public
Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the latest postings - approved by the CAS - affect several key appointments at Headquarters NAF,
field commands, and units across the country.
Air Marshal Aneke explained that the reshuffle is
designed to optimise command effectiveness, improve decision-making processes,
and reinforce mission readiness in response to the evolving national security
landscape.
Key appointments include Air Vice Marshal (AVM)
Abubakar Abdullahi as Chief of Policy and Plans, AVM Adeniran Ademuwagun as
Commandant of the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna, and AVM
Ibitayo Ajiboye as Group Managing Director of the NAF Investment Limited
(NAFIL) Group of Companies.
Others are AVM Precious Amadi as Chief of Operations,
AVM Nnamdi Ananaba as Chief of Air Intelligence, AVM Ebimobo Ebiowe as
Superintendent of Standards and Evaluation, and AVM Ahmed Dari as Chief of Training.
In the transformation, logistics, and engineering
spheres, AVM Mohammed Ibrahim will head the Transformation and Innovation
Branch, AVM Olufemi Ogunsina becomes Chief of Aircraft Engineering, while AVM
Michael Onyebashi assumes command as Air Officer Commanding, Mobility Command.
AVM David Pwajok is appointed Chief of Communication and Information Systems,
and AVM John Ukeh takes charge as Air Provost Marshal.
Further appointments include AVM Simon Peter as
Managing Director, NAFIL Housing and Construction Company; AVM Chidiebere
Obiabaka as Air Secretary; AVM Anthony Martins as Chief of Administration; AVM
Abubakar Sule as AOC, Logistics Command; and AVM Abdulrasheed Kotun as Managing
Director, NAF Farms.
Also, AVM Edward Gabkwet has been appointed Chief of
Civil-Military Relations, while AVM Osichinaka Ubadike takes up the role of
Deputy Commandant, AFIT.
In addition, several other senior officers, including
AVMs Ahmed Bakari, Albert Bot, Idi Sani, Muhammed Suleiman, Jibrin Usman, and
Japheht Ekwuribe, have been posted to various defence and inter-service
institutions in a bid to reinforce joint operations and national defence
coordination.
The Nigerian Air Force described the redeployment as a strategic measure to strengthen institutional leadership, balance expertise, and sustain the tempo of transformation under Air Marshal Aneke’s leadership.
