Contact at Malam Shiri Village triggered a coordinated flanking assault, leading to the neutralisation of 11 terrorists, while others fled with injuries. Troops destroyed life-support infrastructure sustaining insurgent operations and recovered 9 AK-47 rifles, 3 PKT anti-aircraft machine guns, motorcycles, ammunition and materials linked to Improvised Explosive Devices.
Timbuktu Axis: Sustained Pressure, Higher Casualty Impact
At the Wajiroko–Sabongari corridor, troops maintained tactical positions under sustained engagement, repelling террорист advances and inflicting further losses. Seven террорист elements were confirmed neutralised, with additional indicators suggesting higher casualty figures.
Recovered assets included rifles, RPG tubes, communication equipment and ammunition, further disrupting operational cohesion within the axis.
