President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has received the Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), at the Presidential Residence in Lagos for a strategic meeting focused on national defence and security.

The engagement reviewed the national defence framework, ongoing counter-insurgency and anti-banditry operations, and inter-agency security strategies aimed at sustaining peace and security across the country.
A statement by the Special Assistant to the Minister on Media, Leah Katung-Babatunde, said the meeting also provided an opportunity to assess current defence initiatives, frontline operational logistics and proposed reforms to improve troop morale, modernise military hardware and strengthen defence infrastructure nationwide.
President Tinubu expressed satisfaction with progress in securing vulnerable communities and reaffirmed his administration’s support for the Ministry of Defence.
General Musa thanked the President for his guidance and support for the nation’s security apparatus, assuring that the Ministry remains committed to executing its mandate with resolve and integrity.
The meeting was part of the President’s continuing security briefings and policy alignment engagements with key government leaders on national security and other challenges facing the country.
