The Theatre Commander Joint Task Force (JTF) North East Operation HADIN KAI Major General Gold Chibuisi has reiterated his commitment to ensuring a peaceful operating environment for the youth corps members by providing adequate security during orientation programmes in the camp.
He gave the assurance when the Director General (DG) NYSC Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed paid him a courtesy visit at Heaquarters Theatre Command Maiduguri on 6 November 2023.
The Theatre Commander assured the leadership of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) of the Command's continuous support when
General Chibuisi who expressed delight at receiving the Director General and his team, stated that Operation HADIN KAI was on top of the security situation in the North East, adding that Corps members were like his children whom he needed to look after their welfare.
Earlier, the DG NYSC Brigadier General n Yushau Ahmed, disclosed that the purpose of his visit was to appreciate the Theatre Commander for his great support, adding that the resumption of orientation camp programme in Maiduguri, was as a result of the security provided by the military and other security agencies.
Brig Gen Ahmed also stated that the visit was to assess the ongoing orientation programme for corps members of Batch C stream 1.
The visit which was attended by the Deputy Theatre Commander Maj Gen OM Bello, General Officer Commanding 7 Division/ Commander Sector 1 JTF Operation HADIN KAI Maj Gen PP Malla, State Coordinator NYSC Borno State Mr Adamu Chiya and other senior officers, featured signing of visitor's book, presentation of memento and group photographs
