The Senator representing Delta South, Senator Ede Dafinone has appreciated the Nigerian military for their professional conduct in the handling of the King of Ewu Kingdom, His Royal Highness Clement Ikolo Oghenerukvwe while in their custody for investigation.
The Distinguished Senator in a remark at the Army Headquarters shortly after the Director Army Public Relations, Major General Onyema Nwachukwu handed the King, admits that it must have been difficult for the army to Excercise restrain after 17 of their men were gruesomely murdered in Okuama Community in Delta State on March 14, 2024.
He therefore applauded the Army for following due processes in the investigation being carried out on the case, emphasizing that the King was treated professionally with access to medicines, and all nececities that he had access to through the time of holding.
"I would like to formally State that the King has been handed over to my care and I will ofcourse make him available should they require any further interaction with him to assist them with the investigations" stated Senator Ede Dafinone.
He stressed that the Urugbo sons and daughters have supported His Royal Highness through the difficult time with prayers and lobbying to ensure his release.
