In a move to to evaluate the progress of ongoing operations and boost the morale of the troops in the frontline, the Force Commander, Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), Major General Ibrahim Ali, embarked on an operational visit to the frontline troops engaged in Operation Lake Sanity 2.
During the visit to Baga, Cross Kauwa, and Malam Fatori in Borno State, Nigeria Major General Ali expressed confidence in the collective capabilities of the troops to eradicate terrorism in the region.
A statement by Chief Military Public Information Officer MNJTF N'Djamena Chad, Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar Abdullahi said he highlighted the significant reduction in the strength of Boko Haram. He equally noted that their reliance on Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) underscores their weakened state.
General Ali revealed that inorder to counter this threat, there will beq introduction of measures designed to outmaneuver the adversaries.
He emphasized the importance of staying vigilant and cautious, reaffirming his trust in the commanders and the high expectations he harbors for the success of Operation Lake Sanity 2.
The purpose of the Commander's visit was not only to evaluate the progress of the ongoing operation but also to boost the morale of the troops in the frontline. He pledged to continue to support the troops with all needed logistics for the operation to succeed.
