Chief of Defence Staff Declares Defence Intelligence Agency Conference Closed in Abuja As Nigerian Military Mourn General Lagbaja

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Christopher Musa has declared the 2024 Chief of Defence Intelligence annual conference closed in Abuja Nigeria's Capital. 

The CDS who was represented by the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, said the strenght of the nation's security framework lies not just in technology but in the collective patriotism of its citizens. 
He assured the participants that the recommendations recieved from the conference will be given required attention within a short time, while calling on the to leverage on technology in tackling the prevalent security challenges. 

"To all participants, your expertise will go along way in shaping our national objectives, the country is proud of the advisers and Attachés, bear in mind your countries of assignments reflect what Nigeria stand for"
General Christopher Musa said the conference gave an avenue to participants to benefit from the wealth of experience of professionals, former service Chiefs, former Chiefs of Defence Intelligence, while calling on participants to embrace new ideas, for sustained collobations amongst stakeholders to achieve desired objective.

Before his speech, the CDS called for a minute silence and respect to the late Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja whose remains arrived Abuja in the morning hours of Thursday 14th November, 2024 ahead of internment on Friday 15th. 
The Chief of Naval Staff in his words while saluting the late COAS said, "General Lagbaja is one of the most dependable officers I have ever met in service". 

The Chief of Defence Intelligence, Major General Emmanuel Undiandeye speaking earlier said, the theme of the conference, "Exploring the Role of Technology in Strengthening National and Regional Security" has been fully realised in the corse of the conference. 
He encouraged defence advisers and Attachés to carry knowledge from the conference back to their fields and represent Nigeria and their various countries in the best capacity.
