Nigerian Army Holds Service of Songs As Body of Late Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja Arrived Abuja from Lagos

Following the arrival of the body of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja to Abuja on Friday 14th November, the Nigerian Army held service of songs in honour of the late Chief ahead of the burial scheduled for Friday.

The Nigerian Airforce plane NAF 918 carrying the body of the late COAS landed at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja, at about 12:15pm with the remains of the late COAS after departing the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos around 11am.

Top military officials were at hand to receive the remains of the late Chief amidst military band. On arrival, a guard of honor was accorded the body before the top military brass dressed in ceremonial uniform walked it down to be converyed. 

After the service of songs to be held at Army Headquarters Garrison, the late COAS will be interemd on Friday at the national military cemetery.
