Emmanuel Micheal and Adesuwa Osabuohien Win Titles at 46th NTF-CBN Senior Open Tennis Championship

Emmanuel Micheal was crowned the men’s singles champion at the 46th Nigeria Tennis Federation-Central Bank of Nigeria (NTF-CBN) Senior Open Tennis Championship held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.

Micheal secured a hard-fought victory over Ikenna Okonkwo in a thrilling final that lasted over three hours. The match ended 7-6, 3-6, 6-2, with both players demonstrating exceptional resilience and tactical skill throughout the contest.

In the women’s category, Adesuwa Osabuohien staged a remarkable comeback against Emmanuel Essien in a rain-interrupted final. After dropping the first set 3-6, Osabuohien rallied to take the next two sets 6-4 and 6-1, clinching the championship title.

At the closing ceremony, Nigeria Tennis Federation President Ifeadayo Akindoju praised the Central Bank of Nigeria for its continued dedication to the growth and development of tennis in Nigeria over the years.
