At a recent briefing, VP Shettima outlined Nigeria’s objectives for the summit: to position the country as a leader in African food systems reform, leverage international partnerships aligned with domestic priorities, and promote a private sector-led model for continental food transformation.

The summit is organized by the United Nations in collaboration with the governments of Ethiopia and Italy. VP Shettima is scheduled to return to Nigeria after the conclusion of the summit’s activities.
