The military has assured the people of Borno State of its commitment to end the menace of the remnant elements of terrorists within the state.
The Theatre Commander (TC) Joint Task Force (JTF) North East (NE) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), Major General Gold Chibuisi on Monday, 31 July, 2023, gave the assurance when he visited the Shehu Of Borno His Royal Highness, Dr Abubakar Ibn El-Kanemi at his palace in Maiduguri the Borno State Capital.
On arrival, the Theatre Commander and members of his entourage were warmly received by the Monarch and Members of the Borno State Traditional Council.
General Chibuisi stated that after taking over command responsibility of Operation HADIN KAI on 13th July 2023, he deem it necessary to visit His Royal Highness so as to seek for his Royal Blessings as well as sought the support of the traditional institution in order to win the hearts and minds of the good people of Borno state in the ongoing Operations in the North East.
The Shehu of Borno while responding commended the leadership of OPHK for their resilience and doggedness in the ongoing Counter Terrorism and Counter Insurgency Operations in the North East.
The Royal Father also assures the Theatre Commander OPHK of the maximum support and cooperation of Borno State Traditional Council. He disclosed that the doors of the palace is always open for the Theatre Commander for any support, cooperation and guidance.
