The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division and Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH), Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, has noted with sense of pride the resilience and efforts put by the senior officers to harness resources towards achieving the objectives of the Division.
He showered encomiums on senior officers who have served meritoriously in 3 Division and recently posted out of the division.
The Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN was speaking while presenting gift items to the posted-out officers at Headquarters 3 Division, Maxwell Khobe Cantonment, Jos.
General Abubakar remarked that the sacrifice and dedication to duty by the officers during their tour of duty was highly appreciated.
The GOC further remarked that the division will miss the posted-out officers for their positive impact and contribution to the success of military activities in 3 Division while urging them to always make themselves available for guidance and consultation.
General Abubakar also appreciated the spouses of the officers for their moral and spiritual support to their husbands, that made them succeed in discharging their duties as military officers.
Outgone Chief of Staff 3 Division, Brigadier General David Kurmi while appreciating the Commander OPSH, Officers and Soldiers of 3 Division for the kind gesture, noted that the gifts presented to them will remain indelible in their lives. He urged the officers to continue to work as family for the common good of the nation.
Highlights of the event were farewell messages from officers of the division, presentation of gift items and a group photograph.
