🇳🇬 COAS Commends 31 Artillery Brigade Troops’ Doggedness In Frontline Operations



The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, has commended troops of the 31 Artillery Brigade, Minna, for their steadfastness, professionalism and diligence in managing the security situation within the Brigade’s Area of Responsibility.

The commendation was given during an operational visit to the frontline, where the Army Chief addressed troops deployed across the Brigade’s operational sectors.


According to a statement signed by the Acting Director Army Public Relations, Colonel Appolonia Anele, the COAS assured the troops of improved welfare after being fully briefed on their operational and accommodation challenges.




Lieutenant General Shaibu noted that issues relating to accommodation and other critical facilities directly affect morale, family stability and overall operational effectiveness, stressing that these concerns were receiving priority attention.


He urged the troops to remain professional in the discharge of their duties and to continue to uphold fundamental human rights in line with the provisions of the United Nations Charter.




The COAS further charged the troops to remain firm, vigilant and decisive in dealing with terrorists operating within the general areas of Shiroro, Rijau and other locations under the Brigade’s Area of Responsibility.


He also directed the construction and renovation of accommodation and other essential facilities, describing improved living conditions as a key factor in sustaining morale and combat readiness among frontline personnel.
